Tarea
1-2 horas por semana. Students will create toy and model horse crafts during the week after watching the class videos. Pictures or Videos of the finished crafts will be uploaded to the classroom by Friday so the Students can discuss what they created. Students will have a choice of crafts during the week to choose from. Student will compete at least one project each week. Student can make more than one craft each week if they choose.

Experiencia de clase

In this self paced class students will learn how to make props and accessories for their model and toy horses.  Each week we will talk about different ways to make a craft.  I will upload the Lesson Videos on Monday. Students will have all week to watch the lesson and choose one craft to create. Students can choose to  upload their finished craft by posting a picture or video to the classroom.   Students can choose to discuss the different ways they choose to customize the crafts for their horse collection. Students can choose work in teams to create photos, videos, and crafts. Students can choose share their favorite model or toy horses with the class with videos or photos.  Students can choose talk about their favorite type of toy or model horse with the other students.

I can also schedule a private session of this flex classes if you have 2 or more student interested in taking the class together.

All types of Horses, Pegasus, Unicorns, and other horse type creatures are welcome. 

 Students will learn how to make props and accessories to use when playing with their toy or model horses.

Why a flex class? 
* Flexible schedule classes are wonderful for families who have busy schedules or are sometimes unable to commit to a certain day or time. 
* Learners from all time zones may participate 
* Videos may be paused or re-watched at any time. 
* If any questions arise, the instructor is just an email away.

The class offers a series of prerecorded videos that you will have access to, as well as individualized assessments of their work and the opportunity to share their work with fellow learners. Students will be given an assignment every week.  Positive comments on other students work is encouraged. Students will use team work to learn skills.

Each week the students will receive a video and assignment.  

Each Monday I will post a video with the assignment  of the week. Students can choose to submit their projects by Friday Night if they would like feedback. The teacher will give feedback on Saturday or Sunday if projects have been posted. 



Week 1:  Students will learn  How to make a fence out of craft sticks and glue.  Students will use the fence to create a corral or pasture for their toy or model horses. Students can choose to upload their design for the fence to the classroom by Friday.  We will also learn how to make  a muck bucket using a washed plastic jello or pudding cup, paint and ribbons. Students can choose to share their favorite models from their collection by posting a video or photo of their favorite toy or model.

Week 2:  Students will learn how to make a horse stall  using large craft sticks, skinny craft sticks, and glue.   Students will make their stall during the week and can choose to upload a picture or video of their design to the classroom by Friday.

Week 3:   This week we will learn how to make ground poles using  a skinny dowel rod or pencil, and paint or washi tape..   We will also learn  how to make a set of jumps for the horses using large craft sticks and the ground poles. Students can choose to upload the finished craft pictures or video to the classroom by Friday.

Week 4:  This week we will learn how to make a horse blanket using felt or fabric and some ribbon.   Students will combine all of the complete crafts together to make a play area for their horses. students  can choose to upload a picture or video of their barn set up using all of the crafts created in this class.


Student supplies: 
Students will need one or more  toy/ model  horse, unicorn, Pegasus, or horse type creature.
Students will have the choice to take pictures or videos of their models or toys and upload them to the classroom each week.
Student will need basic craft supplies to make props for their horses.



Paint
white school  glue/ PVA glue 
scissors
large size craft sticks for big horses/ or small sized craft sticks for small horses (craft sticks are also called popsicle sticks)
flat wood sticks/ or wooden coffee stirrers/ or skinny sticks
Glue gun and glue sticks (optional) ( only use with adult help or guidance)
acrylic or craft paint and paintbrushes
cardboard box for stable 
4 pencils / 4 paper lollipop sticks / or skinny dowel rod 
paper
felt/ or fabric
ribbon
