In this personalized 1-on-1 math tutoring class, we’ll focus on the specific topics your child needs help with—whether it's counting and number sense, fractions and decimals, algebra, or test prep. I’ll tailor each session to their grade level, learning pace, and academic goals. Every class begins with a short check-in to review progress and set goals. Then we’ll dive into hands-on practice using interactive activities such as games, visual aids, problem-solving tasks, and digital tools like slides or virtual whiteboards. Depending on the learner’s age and preferences, I may also include math stories, puzzles, or video clips to make the experience fun and engaging. We can work on multiplication, fractions, algebra, division, addition, and subtraction—anything your kids need help with! My teaching style is patient, supportive, and adaptive. I focus on helping students truly understand math concepts, not just memorize them. I encourage lots of interaction—your child will be solving problems, asking questions, explaining their thinking, and building confidence throughout each session. No matter their current level, I’m here to help them feel successful and enjoy learning math!

I’ve been teaching math for over 10 years, working with students ages 4 to 17 in both in-person and online settings. My experience spans a variety of educational environments, including traditional classrooms, gifted education programs, Montessori and Reggio Emilia-inspired approaches, and personalized one-on-one tutoring. For three years, I taught using a curriculum for gifted learners, which helped me develop strong skills in adapting lessons to different learning styles and levels.
I hold several teaching certificates and a Master’s in Education, with a PhD in Education currently in progress. This educational background, combined with my hands-on teaching experience, equips me with a deep understanding of how to create effective, student-centered learning experiences.
Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve focused on designing hands-on, engaging lessons that make math meaningful and enjoyable. I love helping students discover that math isn’t just about numbers—it’s about thinking, problem-solving, and having fun while learning. Each session is tailored to support the individual needs of every child, whether they’re looking for reinforcement, enrichment, or exam prep.
In addition to teaching, I’m also a digital educational designer and curriculum developer, which allows me to create customized materials that support learning in creative and accessible ways.
