With its eye-catching designs and words of wisdom woven into every section of the cloth, Kente has become an expression of cultural identity that is recognizable around the world. 

In this one-time class, students will learn about the rich history of the kente cloth. Your learner will enjoy listening to the fascinating legend of the cloth as I retell it. We will learn about its origin and features, followed by creating our version of the cloth using paper and some coloring utensils.

Students are welcome to ask questions as we go through the lesson. We will take turns to sharing our drawings and its unique meaning with the rest of the class.
