Nivel de inglés - A1
Grado de EE. UU. Kindergarten - 3
Nivel Beginner - Intermediate
Children in grades 1 - 3 (ages 6 - 9) will have fun participating in conversations and strengthening listening skills. Students are not required to attend these classes in order. * We begin class with "Show & Tell" experiences. Children bring favorite books, projects, games, toys, art work, or describe personal experiences. * Children participate in interactive games, songs, and art activities to encourage speaking and listening with one another. * Although we do not do art activities in every class, I encourage students to bring something to write with (pencil, dry erase marker, etc.) and something to write on (paper, whiteboard, etc.) to every class. Children will gain confidence as they practice new skills and receive encouragement in a safe and positive environment with a nurturing teacher. Learners are encouraged to turn their video cameras "on" so they can be actively engaged throughout this highly interactive class. English language A1 proficiency is needed for this class. Learners who can engage in simple conversations about everyday subjects will enjoy this class. Dr. Julie Connor, Ed.D. is a seasoned TED speaker, public speaking and communication instructor, public speaking coach, and author. She uses games, speaking practice exercises, modeling, role-playing, as well as specific strategies with tips provided on PowerPoint slides developed from public speaking curriculum she created for meaningful classroom instruction and experiences.
