Optional homework problems with answers are provided, but are not turned in to be graded. Students may email with a question on the homework if they cannot figure out how to do a problem.Proyectos
Students will be provided with an e-book after the first class as well as optional homework problems and answers and optional at-home projects. Should students choose to do the reading, it will be approximately 10 pages for each class. Each homework assignment should take the students 1-3 hours.Evaluación
Three optional tests with answers will be provided so that learners may check their understanding of the concepts.Letra de calificación

A grade for the class is available if requested. Save $22 on enrollment when you use coupon code DANLEYSPRING22 by December 15, 2024. REFUND POLICY: Full refund until 12 hours after the first class meeting (6 hours in the summer). If you do not notify me within 12 hours of the first class that you wish to be refunded, you will need to contact Outschool support to request a refund which they may or may not grant. This is a 16 week full-semester class that covers concepts in High School Biology. Although technically Part 1 and Part 2 can be taken in any order, I will be integrating previous concepts into later classes, so that learners are able to see how concepts relate to each other and learn to solve problems by synthesizing together information from different concepts. Images, activities, and short experiments will help solidify the concepts in class. During class I will teach by the Socratic method as much as possible while going over concepts and problems. Toward the end of each class, we will do a worksheet together with problems and short answer questions that will help students master the topics for that class. Also provided are optional homework problems with answers, reading assignments from an e-book, and project-based assignments that learners can do at home as well as three optional tests with answers so learners can check their understanding. We will not, however, be doing full biology lab experiments with detailed lab reports. 2 Grado
Maestría en Ciencia desde University of California at Berkeley
Licenciatura en Ciencia desde Massachusetts Institute of Technology
I have a B.S. in Chemistry from MIT and a M.S. in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. At MIT I took a significant number of courses in the field of biology and I took courses in biology at the graduate level at UC Berkeley. At both MIT and UC Berkeley, my research centered on biology. I have taught biology at the college level, and I have tutored students in biology at both the college level and the high school level.
