👋 Hello, and welcome to class with Ms. Candice where students always have so much fun learning and making friends! Use CANDISAVE1212 to receive $12 off of one week! Each week, students will learn and explore a new weekly theme while learning a number, color, shape, letter, and sight word of the week along with a new math and English skill every week to ensure students practice and learn ALL curriculum and foundational skills for kindergarten success! :) OVERVIEW _________________________________________ Class length is 30 minutes Each class begins by singing The Days of the Week and calendar discussion 🔢 Math Days: MONDAY & WEDNESDAY Students will count 1-20 as a group learn and practice a number and shape of the week, along with a new math skill such as: simple addition and subtraction, comparison, classification and sorting, number sense and so much more! 🔤 Language Arts: TUESDAY & THURSDAY Students will learn and practice A-Z letter sounds and letter names, and a letter of the week, along with a sight word and new Language Arts skill such as: compound words, parts of a book, rhyming, and more! 🎉 FUN CRAFT FRIDAY: Students will receive a pre-recorded video to follow along as we make a simple art and craft project to go with our new weekly theme! :) Classes do not build on each other- meaning learners are able to join any time without feeling left behind! Each Sunday you will receive class worksheets for students follow along with class teachings! If you do not have access to a printer, that's okay! I have over nine years of teaching experience. I have worked with students from preschool to 12th grade. I have been homeschooling my 6-year-old daughter for four years using curriculum that I have created as well as supplemental curriculum. I have taken training classes on teaching Montessori, and I keep myself educated and up-to-date with teaching methods and practices by reading published articles, taking professional development courses, and reading through new state teaching standards. I also graduated with my B.A. in Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies, where I studied the impact families have on children and how children learn as infants through adolescent years and how they carry that into adulthood and into their own families.
