Through this course, students will learn how to communicate more effectively by practicing verbal skills.  I love interacting with students, so this has always been one of my favorite lessons!  We will begin class by discussing the importance of good communication.  Then, the students will get to practice their own verbal skills by walking me through the creation of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  I will have all of the materials in front of me and  I will perform EVERY task as they tell me to do it.  Students will begin to see that sometimes what they say isn't what they truly mean, so they will better understand how things can become misunderstood.  We will share some laughs, but ultimately your child will become more aware of their verbal communication.
