One of my resources is a Middle School World History text book, McDougal Littell, also a Mcgraw-Hill world history book that I have used over the years in my classrooms. I also have many websites Silkroad.com: History of Silk Road, which has many avenues within the site that will allow to to have information accurate and relevant to this topic. I have several Discovery Channel videos (The Silk Road) and YouTube videos (Silk Road Virtual Tour) that I have checked for accuracy and I will use in the class.
When it comes to projects each student will have some items that each student need to trade for along the way, they will be provided a list of the Items the have to offer to other class members, to trade for what they need to survive in that day.. This project will enable the students to use critical thinking while building their knowledge of how world trade began. Test and evaluation information will be created from the resources that are used in conjunction with the class, and videos that the students will use in Google Classroom. I hope to make this class exciting while also igniting each student's interest in history.
Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Indiana Certificado de Docencia en Educación especial
I have taught this subject matter for 3 years, as I taught my junior high school History class. This is a subject that I have invested a great deal of time in as a classroom teacher. I used projects with different scenarios that helped the students to understand what it was like and helped them develop critical thinking skills to plan how they would accomplish other tasks and to find what they needed to survive if they had lived in that day. For instance, if you traveled days and traded along that route you should find out what those you traded with along the way might need as you traveled back home.
