Los estudiantes vendrán a clase con una variedad de objetos de diferentes colores; tendremos una búsqueda del tesoro para que los estudiantes puedan mostrar sus objetos. Será una clase divertida para identificar colores y también para hacer algo de "Mostrar y contar".

This class will be a lot of fun with colors! Students should bring an object for each of the colors: red, yellow, orange, blue, green, pink, purple, white, black, and brown. We will play a game hunting for all of the colors, we will practice our colors by looking at the color and the word, saying the word, and showing the word. We will be working to teach students how to recognize the color and the color word. Student will also have opportunity to ask their classmates to find colors. During this class we will also have time to do some "Show and Tell"; students can tell us about the things that they brought to class! Students will receive some instruction from their teacher but most of the class with be interacting with their teacher and classmates. We will have lots of fun learning together!

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
