In this math class, students will review their addition and subtraction skills, along with color recognition and coloring inside the lines! Students should already know a bit about addition and subtraction, and be prepared to solve basic equations during class. We will solve 1-digit and 2-digit equations. Throughout class, we will work through each of the math problems provided on our worksheet, and use the solutions as the answers or "key" for the color by numbers picture. As we work through the math problems, students will be asked to raise hands, answer aloud, and talk through the steps of the math problems. This will be a very interactive class, with time to answer, ask questions, and get to know each other! Students will be provided a 2-page worksheet, one with math problems, and one with the picture. They should print it out, and plan to bring their own colored pencils or crayons to color the image.

My name is Alli, and I love teaching students of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds! My favorite classes integrate my passions and hobbies, such as reading, writing, Harry Potter, music, traveling, and more!
For over 10 years, I've taught group and private music lessons, large group band and music classes, and online English classes to students of all ages!
I've earned a Masters degree in Music Education from Louisiana State University and a Bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia. I'm a certified K-12 music teacher, and every day I teach online English classes to Chinese students ages 4-15, where we learn basic vocabulary, math, science, history, and more!
While my primary instrument is flute, I also play most other band instruments, namely saxophone, euphonium, and tuba! During my time as a classroom teacher, I've had the privilege to teach Middle School Band, High School Band (including Marching Band), Percussion Class, and the History of Rock and Roll!
I believe learning should be fun, so I always teach about topics I'm deeply interested in, or about skills I love to practice and use! Being enthusiastic about my course content helps students be enthusiastic learners! When students are focused and interested in their classes, they are more likely to retain information and skills learned in class, and continue to seek new information every day!
My main goal as a teacher is to impart knowledge and wisdom in the short term, while inspiring students to continue learning and growing in the long term!
