Esta es una continuación de Conceptos básicos de español 1. En este curso de 4 clases, los estudiantes repasarán el material aprendido previamente, la gramática básica, la fonética, la lectura y la expresión oral. Este curso incluye las estaciones, las expresiones climáticas y los números hasta el 100.

This is not a full immersion class. This class is designed to be a softer approach to learning Spanish. Students should feel comfortable expressing themselves in Spanish with explanations in English as needed. This four week course will cover the following in Spanish: Day 1 : Review of introductions, colors, numbers 1-20, common questions and answers Day 2 : Conversation practice, numbers 10-100, using articles and nouns in Spanish, reading practice, phonics practice, seasons and weather Day 3: Conversation practice, likes / dislikes, phonics practice, reading practice, preparation for presentation Day 4: Conversation presentation, virtual escape room review Class will be taught using a combination of google slides, games, and discussions. All students will have the opportunity to participate in speaking, reading, and listening activities.
Metas de aprendizaje
By the end of this course, students should be able to have a basic conversation in Spanish using the vocabulary they have learned.

Hello! My name is Brandi Guzman. I have a BA in Spanish with P-12 teacher certification. I have been teaching Spanish for 12 years. I have taught ages 7 up to high school. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I have also traveled extensively. This has given me an interesting perspective on what it means to know a second language. I am not a native Spanish speaker. I had to learn, and continue to practice to become proficient in Spanish. I understand the challenges that come with learning a second language.
