_____________________________________
Commemorate the 2054th anniversary of Cleopatra the VII's death and follow the final day of Egypt's last ruler and notorious queen before she ends her life with the bite of the famous Egyptian asp. And with her death, she takes 3000 years of ancient Egyptian history and glory with her, while her fame endures for eternity.

First, "listen" to Cleopatra as she recalls her ascent to the throne at age 18 after her father Ptolemy dies.

Other Class Highlights:

• The fateful meeting between Cleopatra and
the Emperor of Rome Julius Caesar.
• Cleopatra's momentous procession into Rome.
• The stealthy assassination of Julius Caesar while
Cleopatra and their son are residing in Rome.
• The crazy stunt that Cleopatra pulls to fool her
lover Mark Antony at a grand banquet in
   Alexandria.
• The tearful goodbye as Mark Antony dies in
   Cleopatra's arms.

The last "scene" of the class is Cleopatra, taking her life at only age 39, by the venomous bite of the snake which she asked to be brought to her in hiding. There will be three clips of videos portraying the main events of the life and death of Cleopatra.

How I teach:

I’m happy to hear questions and comments during the presentation--not only after class. Other features of my teaching style and philosophy:

√ Classes with only 4 students.
√ Lots of student interaction.
√ Dramatic Keynote (like PowerPoint)
presentation with illustrations and photos to
    enhance learning.
√ Clips of videos to increase the understanding
and enjoyment of the class content.
√ The display of my collection's AUTHENTIC
ANTIQUITIES used by the ancient Egyptians.

I encourage kids to share their opinions, ideas, mistakes and triumphs. I love it when kids laugh. After the class, I message parents/caretakers to inform them how their student did, and I send extra files for their interest.

CLASS PRICE includes (in addition to the scheduled class):

1. Welcome message to both the student and enroller.
2. Quiz (actually, a learning tool) as a
pre-lesson activity.
3. Personalized, post-class message to the
student and en-roller, detailing how the
learner did in class and any recommendations.
4. SUMMARY for enroller (and
student)
5. Availability to answer a student's questions
after class.

Orientación para padres
Please Note: I do not accept learners under 13 years old for this class. Thanks for your understanding. When discussing Cleopatra, we will be talking about her suicide and the theories about if she really died by a snake bite or some other method. We will also talk about the fact that she was the lover of Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony, bearing children out of marriage. There is a video death scene of Cleopatra being bitten by a snake. If a child is afraid of snakes, he/she/they should not see it.

Fuentes
There are several websites on ancient Egyptian rulers and a lot of information on Cleopatra. I will also use snippets from two videos, showing Cleopatra's grand entrance into Rome and the death scene of Cleopatra with the snake. One clip stars Elizabeth Taylor in the extravagant film of 1963 called "Cleopatra."
