This class is a follow up to our "Stop Losing Things: How to Have a Clutter Free Room." If your teen is looking for a little extra organizational support, then this ongoing class will help them take a deeper dive into their belongings and setting up a system for success. Each class will start with discussing our clutter clusters and tips on ways we can address them. Next we'll get to work on putting our ideas into action. Class ends with collectively discussing solutions to the problem of the week. As this is an ongoing class participants can stop their subscription when they feel they have reached a happy place with their space. This class is 70% action, 30% discussion. I aim to have kids work with what they currently have and what they have control over. If they do not put away their own laundry then there's no reason for me to tell them to roll shirts. After clearing the clutter your child might ask for your assistance for example, "Can I have a garbage can in my room?" As the parent you will decide if their requests match what works for your household. I will not tell students they "need" to buy anything. If a bedroom garbage can isn't an option, an empty box painted or decorated with wrapping paper works just as well. If you feel your child would thrive better in a one on one setting instead of a group setting please look at my other class.
I respect that everyone's home life is different. I will not share photos of your child’s room with the group. It is helpful to have cameras on in the class. If you are concerned your child will feel self-conscious during class about their room or their clutter please reach out to me before signing up so we can create a plan of action.

I did not grow up with a lot and half of my childhood involved sharing a room. This allowed me to become creative in how I stored my belongings. When I reached my teens, things changed. I found myself with two bedrooms and a private bathroom. Somehow I managed to accumulate more clutter in addition to misplacing jewelry, shoes, and homework.
As an adult, finding a good solution to clutter has been important to my work as an artist and small business owner. By developing systems that worked for me I set myself up to meet deadlines for clients, create quality productions, and still find time to play with my cat. Over the years I have learned that the more organized I am the happier I am.
Organizational needs can change over time. Learning how to adapt to those needs is just as important as clearing clutter.
