Ready to inspire the next generation of writers and thinkers? Join our dynamic research writing class where students not only improve their writing skills but also dive into the lives of some of the most influential civil rights heroes—Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, and Thurgood Marshall. This is not just another writing class; it's a journey through history! For five exciting weeks, your child will learn how to transform their thoughts into well-organized research reports. We'll kick off with three weeks of engaging reading, research, and paragraph writing. With materials provided—including research articles and special note-taking pages—students will bring their paragraphs to life as they explore the legacies of these trailblazing activists. In the final two weeks, they’ll level up their skills, learning how to craft powerful introductions and conclusions, wrapping up their reports with confidence. By the end, they'll have a polished final draft that reflects both their hard work and newfound knowledge. This course is designed for students who are already comfortable writing basic paragraphs but are eager to take their writing to the next level. Empower your child to not only master writing but also gain a deeper understanding of civil rights history!
