Experiencia de clase

Student will be encouraged to move and share, dance and sing. In this class we will start with a welcome song. We will move on to calendar and weather. Each child will get to share what the weather is like outside their window. We will sing the ABC song a few different ways(i.e. to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb). During this class we will review shapes and colors. We will focus our learning on 3 letters of the alphabet in each class. No previous knowledge is needed as we will start fresh in each class. The letters for each class will be in the class chat box. We will try to make these letters with our body. We will spend a little time talking about these letter sounds and maybe finding a toy around the house that begins with each letter sound. We will also focus on learning and recognizing one new number in each class(1-10). We will end class with the question, "what did you learn today?". Followed by a fun and silly goodbye song.

Metas de aprendizaje

Students will learn turn taking while, being good listeners when a friend is speaking. 
Students will learn weather words, months of the year, and days of the week. 
Students will learn to recognize letters of the alphabet.
Students will learn to count and recognize numbers 1-10. 
Students will learn colors and 2-D shapes. 
Students will become more confident speaking and sharing in front of peers.

Hello My name is Jenny. I live in Missouri with my husband and 5 young children. I have a BA in Child and Family Development. My life motto is "to give more than I take." I am currently working part time as an ESL teacher and a volleyball coach. I also coach basketball during the winter.

 Working with children is my calling. If I am not in a classroom teaching. I am in a gym coaching. I love watching student and student athletes reach their full potential.  

 I want my classroom to be light, fun, entertaining, and full of laughter. I love teaching preschool circle time. I want children to feel free to get up and move around during songs. To find toys and objects around their home that they can relate to the lesson. 
Classes I teach:
Circle time: we will focus on 3 letters of the alphabet in each class. 
Book Club: the classics(The Giver, 1984, The Outsiders)
Jordan vs James! Lets debate this...

Fun fact about me: We raise chickens for eggs! I am a life long basketball fan. I played competitive basketball for 16 years.
