This class is ideal for those in or about to enter Preschool, Kindergarten or ESL learners as it is designed to reinforce the numbers 0-10. This class strengthens one-to-one counting skills. Students will partake an interactive story called Chicka Chicka 1 2 3 as it aids with both sequential and backwards counting as well as number recognition skills. During this fun-filled class, we will sing and count together. Students will then learn how to identify each number as well as counting. To also promote their fine motor skills, students will review their number identification skills with an exciting craft activity by sticking numbers on their trees. At the end of class, we will all share our number trees! 🌴 *Remember to click the heart on my profile to follow me in order to see new classes.*

Parents, use any materials you have available to you for the follow items:- ✔️ Cutout a few green palm tree leaves and glue it or staple it on the top of the tree (toilet paper or paper towel roll) to have it ready for the activity. ✔️ Stickers: numbers 0-10 ***Don't have the supplies? No problem! Pick one option from these alternatives.*** • Write out the numbers on a piece of paper. (That way, your child can point to them.) OR • Write out numbers to make flash cards. (That way, your child can find the numbers and show it.) OR • Bring a number book so your child can show them. OR • Your learner can use their fingers to show us how many.

I love to cook, swim, travel and conduct experiments! I’m originally from an island in the Caribbean called Trinidad. However, I grew up on Long Island, New York and I now reside in South Florida.
🎓 I have a Master's degree in Literacy from Long Island University, a Bachelor’s degree in General and Special Education from St. Joseph’s College as well as certifications in both TESOL and TEFL. I have been teaching for over 12 years in public and private schools. I've also been recognized as an EPIC Educator by Outschool providing instruction and creating class experiences that are Empowering, Passion-driven, Intentional, and Connected. Now that's EPIC!
👩🏫 Currently, I’ve been teaching online for over six years and I have experience teaching well over 15,000 online classes to students and I absolutely love the atmosphere of an online classroom! I have also spent three years in the tropical Caribbean teaching English to children from all parts of the world. I have taught ages three to 18 years old in subject areas such as ESL, reading, conversing skills, phonics, writing, cooking, grammar, math, science, social studies, fingerplay/songs, role playing and much more!
