Dear Parents and Learners! Thank you for your interest my ongoing Chess Club for Rookies. This class is a weekly game session where students can test out their knowledge in practice and have fun! In this class, each student will play against me at the same time or challenge another player in the room. If students does not bring materials to practice, we shall introduce an opening to experiment new ways of starting the game. For the Fall season, a new list of opening will be posted. Feel...
- The goal is to play a game together and have fun together! This ongoing class allows students to apply their newly learned tactics in a real game or simply wants to practice and make friends. Winning is not the goal; instead we want to work at improving ourselves. For students who already know how to play chess but is unsure about their level, this is also a great way to find out. 😊
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses: chess.com We can also play anonymously on Lichess.org if you do not have an account ready. As always, I suggest to always have a physical version of the game for learning and practice purposes in general. I think that it is important to learn to play both online and with a real game of chess.
