Experiencia de clase

In chemistry, mole is the standard unit for measuring very large quantities of particles such as atoms or molecules. Students will need a thorough understanding of how to convert between moles, particles and mass to be able to use balanced chemical equations to calculate quantities of reactants and products in a chemical reaction. Thus, this is one of the fundamental topics in chemistry.

In this course, students will be introduced to the unit called the mole and will learn to find the amount of particles present in a sample in terms of mole and will learn to convert between mole and the number of particles. Students will also learn to use the molar mass of a substance to convert between mole and mass. They will get plenty of practice problems to practice what they learned during each session.

Day 1:
=>Introduction to mole
=>How to convert between particles and mole
=>practice problems

Day 2:
=>Introduction to molar mass
=>Determining the molar mass of a given compound or a molecule
=>How to convert between mole and mass
=>practice problems

Day 3:
=>How to convert between particles and mass
=>mixed practice problems
=>online assessment

I will be teaching using an online chalkboard/presentation. Worksheets with practice problems will be available in the classroom announcement section on the day before class. Students must print the worksheets before class. This class is an interactive class - students will have the opportunity to work with each other. When in doubt, students are encouraged to ask questions. I will be assisting students while they work.

Please note:
=>class may go over the allotted time depending on the students/class composition
=>I will leave the zoom meeting if no one shows up within the first 5 minutes.
