Experiencia de clase

Nivel de inglés - Pre-A1
Grado de EE. UU. 6 - 9
Nivel Intermediate - Advanced
This class focuses on the conceptual understanding of how acids and bases are defined in various chemical reactions. Begin by defining the presence of an acid or base and how do you know you are working in this classification. Why is it important to know and how does an acid or base function in different situations.

The conversation and topics covered in this class may fall into any of the below NGSS bundled standards:
MS-PS1-2 Matter and its Interactions
HS-PS1-2 Matter and its Interactions
HS-PS1-4 Matter and its Interactions
HS-PS1-5 Matter and its Interactions
HS-PS1-6 Matter and its Interactions
HS-PS1-7 Matter and its Interactions
MS-PS1 Matter and its Interactions
HS-PS1 Matter and its Interactions
MS.Chemical Reactions
HS.Chemical Reactions

Disciplinary core ideas:
PS1A: Structure and Properties of Matter
PS1B: Chemical Reactions

Dr. Michael Blanchard completed his PhD at the University of Tennessee. He spent his time discussing the use of Lewis acids, Ziegler-Natta catalysis, and working to scale processes for efficiency. Before his PHD, Dr. Mike studied forensic sciences. There, his passion for the interdisciplinary work of chemistry began. From cooking to building to living in the world around us, Dr. Mike's passion is sharing how we are all connected to the study of chemistry. It was the development of the specific fields of chemistry that awarded him Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at Warren National University. He quickly discovered that his passion for sharing and connecting knowledge was the point which learners' owned a solid conceptual foundation and were at the crossroads of deeper diving topics, such as organic chemistry and beyond.
