Is performing in front of an audience something you're still working on as a young musician? Come and be a part of our weekly Outschool Songwriter Open Stage class! Here, with the help of your peers, you will:

👂Get Your Music Heard: Share your creative music with the world and get honest criticism from your classmates.

✨Discover the Spark: Working with other young songwriters can be a great way to bounce ideas off of each other and maintain a creative flow.

🧱Get Over the Block: Learn techniques to complete those challenging songs you've been facing.

😀Feel More Self-Assured: Explore your stage presence by honing your performing abilities and getting the support you need.

Anyone from 13 to 18 years old who is interested in making musical connections with other young people will benefit from this program, regardless of their level of expertise as songwriters. Come play with us and discover your hidden musical talent!

Each session will be learner-directed and topics or issues to address in songwriting will be decided by the learners. We've explored AI music/lyric generation and use it as a jumping off tool to learn how to structure songs and how to use the tools available to support our creativity. 

Learners sometimes share audio files if they prerecord their song and that works great for us as well!  I will often upload tracks and share them as YouTube links in the class for recorded projects.  

Also, reminder to set your audio settings in zoom to be the Audio setting Original Sound for Musicians should be selected and then when in class, remember to select it at the top to be ON (this removes noise suppression and allows me to hear your instrument as well as your voice (as well as all your background noise so you need to be in a quiet room).
