Designed for theatre lovers and movie fans alike, this class will spark creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the magic of musical storytelling. Every week, we'll discuss a new movie musical and discuss: - Storytelling Through Song: How songs drive the plot and reveal character motivations. - Behind-the-Scenes Magic: Exploring costumes, sets, lighting, and special effects. - Choreography and Movement: How dance enhances storytelling. - Themes and Messages: What movie musicals teach us about life, love, and friendship. - Cultural and Historical Context: Understanding the time and place of each musical. - Audience Connection: Why certain musicals resonate across generations.
