In the Maker Monday Club, students will be given a mini challenge that can be done in one class period.  During each class, students will need to look at required materials, think through the guidelines and plan out what they want to create.  They will be asked to sketch their idea on a piece of paper or in a notebook.  As the student creates the project, they are expected to make changes to improve their idea.  At the end of class, students will share their final product with the class and tell what changes they made.  A final product does not have to be a finished one, or maybe it is even a failure.  The process is what is important in Maker Monday and realizing that we can learn from frustrations, failures and mistakes. 

Class 1- Box top from a shoebox, or gift box or shallow shipping box.  A size that is comfortable to hold, no smaller then 8 inches in length, 3-4 toilet paper rolls, or 1-2 paper towel rolls, a marble or small ball that can pass through a toilet paper roll, markers, glue, tape, paper, scissors and a pencil.

Class 2- About 6 pieces of construction paper, all the same size, scissors, tape, glue, a tape measure, and piece of paper and a pencil. 

Class 3-Gum Drops and 100 tooth picks.  In my experience, Dots do not work. Also bring a paper and pencil. 

Class 4-About 100 straws, tape, a piece of paper and a pencil.
