Any specific brands are just my own recommendations. You are always welcome to use what you already have. 1. Drawing paper (or multimedia paper). At least 5 pieces but more is great. The size of paper will determine the size of your sketchbook. So if you choose 6in x 9in paper, your sketchbook will be half that size. 2. Scissors. 3. Either a bone folder or a spoon (We’ll use this to press creases while folding). 4. String for binding. This can be embroidery thread, yarn, ribbon, really anything. 5. An embroidery needle (can use other needles IF the string you choose is small enough.) 6 .Something for decorating the cover: paint, markers, pencils, etc. Whatever you like. 7. A small cup of water 8. Elmer’s glue (liquid not a stick) OR Mod Podge 9. Pencil and ruler 10. An old paintbrush (we’ll be using it to spread glue)

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hello! My name is Brittany and I’m excited to help your child tap into their creative side. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art with a minor in Bookmaking. I have experience teaching adults and children of all ages in museum and summer camp settings. I also have 6 years of experience in online teaching.
I am a certified ACE educator here on Outschool which means that I have taken training to give your child the best possible learning experience in our virtual classroom. Whether we are crocheting, knitting, or making art, I want your child to have fun and feel confident in their abilities. I always want to prioritize the idea of adding “yet” when we feel overwhelmed. “I can’t do this…YET!”
I have two very serious studio assistants (cats) who like to see what we’re working on. I am also an avid reader, knitter, and crocheter. See you in class!
