Experiencia de clase

“The City of Ember” is a story about a city in the dark. We do not know why the city was build. We don’t know exactly how long they have lived there. We don’t know when they arrived. But we do know that the lights of the city are getting dimmer. The lights are starting to go out. And something must be done to save the people living there before it is dark for forever. Please join me for this interesting tale of two kids, Lina and Doon. They don’t have a lot in common, but it’s more than they think and it May be enough to save the people of Ember.

Each week we will focus on building vocabulary skills and reading comprehension. Students will be asked to read a section of the book before each class and we will talk about the characters, setting, make connections to our own lives and theorize why The City if Ember exists as it is.
