Nivel Beginner - Intermediate
This is an introduction to equine science that will include topics such as evolution, anatomy, nutrition and horse health. We will learn common terminology and breeds, markings and more! Learners will have some optional assignments to help to reinforce the learning from that week's topic. The syllabus can be viewed for specific lesson topics.

Learners will begin to develop an understanding of some of the important topics in equine science, including terminology and anatomy topics.
During class discussion learners will use their critical thinking skills to discuss what the information learned helps to create the best equine care protocols that we have.

Breeds, Colors and Markings
Students will learn about a variety of breeds, their common uses and how to recognize them based on what they look like. Colors and markings will also be covered.

Anatomy/ Parts of the Horse
Understanding equine anatomy is important and in this class students will have s chance to learn pony parts and also to create an equine pasta skeleton!
