This 12-lesson course is crafted to cover the High School Biology Curriculum, Part II. Students will progress at their own pace, by watching pre-recorded videos and completing worksheets for each topic. Learners will have my continuous support and supervision during the course term. Upon successful completion, a learner will earn a certificate of completion and if requested a letter grade. Please refer to the published syllabus for the detailed lesson plan. I use a dynamic mix of whiteboard illustrations, PowerPoint presentations, and worksheets to enhance learning. Homework assignments are provided for each topic and students are encouraged to submit it before the next session. Students are encouraged to contact me with any questions or concerns or for additional support. Evaluation and Grades (optional): Upon successful course completion students will receive a certificate of completion. If requested, this certificate will include a letter grade reflecting learner performance. Welcome to my class!

más de 12 semanasUnidad 1: Cell cycle
Lección 1:
Cell Division - Mitosis
Cell division or Mitosis is one of the stages in the cell cycle. Students will practice drawing and describing all steps and will be challenged with questions on what can happen if mutations occur during mitosis.
Lección 2:
Reduction in number of chromosomes - Meiosis
For the purpose of creating reproductive cells, cells are going through meiosis. We will go through all stages of meiosis and students will master drawing and describing each step.
Unidad 2: Systems
Lección 3:
Systems- Digestive system
The digestive system consists of a long canal, called the digestive tract, with several accessory organs attached to aid in the process. Students will receive an overview of each part, where chemical and physical digestion takes place, and which nutrients are processed in each step.
Lección 4:
Systems - Digestive System II
Accessory organs, including the pancreas, liver, and gallbladder, play essential roles in digestion by producing and storing substances that aid in breaking down food. We will explore each of these organs in detail. Following this, students will select a digestive system disorder and prepare a brief presentation on their chosen topic.
