In this fun and interactive ongoing course, we will explore a new topic in life science each week. Each class will begin with an explanation of the theme, and learners will get a chance to share what they already know. Through photos, videos, games, and diagrams we will explore the topic in greater depth. Some weeks will include a short experiment to engage children in the scientific method. Learners will be encouraged to fill in their provided science journal and complete complementary...
- Young scientists will learn the basics of biology, while applying the skills of a scientist, such as observation, classification, and experimentation.
Miss Leigh has over 12 years of experience as a science and STEM teacher. She holds her masters degree in biology from Georgian Court University.
Handouts and supplies will be posted in the classroom.
Adult supervision needed during experiments.
