Tarea

Weekly coloring sheets will be posted for learners to color and post in the classroom. There will be a step of the week each week that we will focus on. The learner will post a photo or video of the step in the classroom for discussion.

Experiencia de clase

In this 5 week beginner series Dance Class, a warm up will be taught through a floor stretch and standing exercises.  

We will begin on the floor with basic stretches and will then work on movement through basic gross motor skills through various dance games.  

We will move onto a standing exercise, that will include basic dance steps and more dance games will follow!  

Music and games will be played through a weekly theme.  

We will end with a fun game of Freeze Dance.  

Learners will be given weekly coloring sheets to color and share in the classroom. 

There will also be a step of the week to focus on.  

Learners will be given an assignment to complete each lesson!

No prior dance experience necessary.

Metas de aprendizaje

Your child will learn beginner ballet dance steps with various patterns in a creative learning environment.  Dancing to music will also teach the student how to develop musicality.  And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!

Magic Fairy Garden

 Floor Stretch, Magic Garden Game, Review Ballet Feet positions, Standing Exercise, Butterfly Circle Game and Freeze Dance!
We will end class with a scavenger hunt!

Lección 2:

Under the Sea Magic

 Floor Stretch, Deep Sea Diving Game, Ulili E Game, Standing Exercise, Under Sea Adventure Game and Freeze Dance!
We will end class with a game of Moana and Little Mermaid trivia!

Lección 3:

Dance with your Stuffy

 Floor Stretch , Beanie Boogie Game, Standing Stretch, Beanie Dance Party Game and Freeze Dance!
We will end class with a scavenger hunt!

Lección 4:

I Love Bugs!

 Floor Stretch, Ants on Parade Game, Standing Stretch, Grasshoppers Jump Game and Freeze Dance!
We will end class with a game of trivia!

Orientación para padres

Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in these online dance classes, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself.

Hello!  I’m Miss Lauren and am a performer, educator, choreographer and former dance studio owner in Milton, VT.  

I am trained in various styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern and Acrobatics and hold a Bachelors Degree in Dance.  I am also a professional for Dancing with the Stars Burlington and have graced the Flynn stage with my performance in 2019 and guest performance in 2022.  

I provide wholesome dance classes where movement and music selection is always age appropriate.  My main focus is to create a fun and energetic learning environment allowing kids to express themselves!  I have been instructing children of all ages for 18 years and have loved every minute of it!

When not dancing, I can be found spending time with my husband and two boys.  Dancing has always been my number one love and passion and is the fuel for my soul!  I can’t wait to see you in my class!  Now let’s get moving!  


Please note:  Transfer request can be accommodated if requested a least 24 hours before the section begins.  This allows time to fill the spot in class that your child was holding.  I also try to respond to messages within 48 hours.
