Clases de piano para principiantes, nivel primario A

Let’s teach little fingers to play the piano!  This primary level course is for the absolute beginner, no prior piano or musical experience is necessary.  This course will meet for a 30 minute class for 8 weeks.  Each week we will learn new piano and musical concepts and learn and practice new songs.  I will be demonstrating while playing on my piano.  Students will be called on to play and practice in this classroom setting.  Weekly assignments will be needed to be practiced outside of the lesson.  Teacher will have students play their practiced lessons in class the following week.  Students will always be able to ask questions or ask for further demonstration.  
At the end of the last day, the students will have a class recital!

Week 2:  Song for the Moon
Week 3:  Mary Had a LIttle Lamb
Week 4:  My Piano Song
Week 5:  Good King Wenceles
Week 6:  Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
Week 7:  Farmer in the Dell
Week 8:  Jingle Bells, recital (student picks their favorite two songs to perform)

There will also be downloads and a link to the main lessons. 

Students will locate Middle C and all other C notes, D, E, A, B, learn quarter note, half note, and whole note.  Time signature will also be introduced.  Students will be playing new practice songs every week. 

It is necessary to have either a piano or high quality keyboard for these lessons.



It will highly encouraged to have child practice at least 3- 4x per week for 10-15 minutes for this level.
