In this class, we'll focus on speaking and listening in Mandarin Chinese with a new weekly topic featuring Chinese vocabulary and related sentences and phrases as well as Pinyin. At the beginning of class, learners will be introduced to new words and phrases through a quick presentation to spark ideas for their Play-Doh creations.

During the rest of the class, learners will use Play-Doh to create topic-related objects, while we practice speaking the phrases and vocabulary together. Towards the end of class, each learner will share their Play-Doh creations by using the Mandarin Chinese words and phrases they learned.

Class Details:
✅ No prior Mandarin knowledge is required! Students can join the club at any time.
✅ Class instructions will be in English along with simple Chinese that I'll make sure each learner understands in the beginning of every lesson, with the teacher demonstrating Mandarin pronunciation (this is not a full-immersion class).
✅ After each lesson, learners will receive a class handout with the vocabulary and phrases for continued practice and review.
✅ The only material needed is Play-Doh (students may draw if they prefer).


Class Structure:
Each class is self-contained, so learners can join at any time. Topics will cycle through in the order below. After the last topic, we will restart from Topic 1. New topics may be added, and learners are welcome to repeat topics to practice as much as they’d like!
