I am a certified elementary teacher and have taught phonics, reading, writing, cursive and math for many years. Before teaching 2nd grade, I tutored students in reading comprehension, decoding words, math and science after school and during the summer. I was also a Title 1 reading intervention specialist for grades kindergarten-3rd grade focusing on reading fluency and comprehension strategies. I have worked in a preschool and pre-k setting as well working on a variety of literacy skills. I have been writing in cursive for over 20 years. I learned in kindergarten and have been perfecting the craft ever since! I taught many 2nd graders how to properly form letters and develop the confidence they need to successfully write in cursive!
