In this American Sign Language Self Paced course, learners will work at their own pace learning many exciting signing themes.  There will be no in person classes. Each week on Monday a 7-10 minute video will be posted in our online classroom.  In addition each video will include a unique challenge that each learner can respond to by video and can upload those to the classroom as well. Fun print outs and activities will be included to help the student in their signing journey and just for fun too! 

Week one video will focus on seasons and weather. The challenge will ask the student to sign their favorite season and post there challenge response video in the classroom!

Week two will have an ocean theme and will include coloring pages to help the learners identify and practice what was learned. They can share their artwork and a signed video identifying the sea creatures in their picture of choice by video in the classroom!

Week three will focus on outer space and aliens.  Including a design your own alien print out that the students can use and describe their alien in asl. And share their creations in the classroom through a video! 

Week four will focus on days of the week and months of the year in sign language. They will need to create. Video signing their favorite day of the week and month of the year and why for this weeks challenge! 

Week five will wrap up our videos with superhero’s. Learners will learn the sign for many super hero’s and get to make their own. They can share their creations and which superhero they like best and why in a video response! 


This is a beginner course. No experience needed just an interest in asl. This is a relaxed environment to encourage a love for the language and fun!
