This class is a great option for neurodivergent students interested in music. The objective of these private beatboxing lessons is to enable the student to gain a greater set of technical and musical skills with beatboxing, and to help the student develop a greater understanding of the role of the drums in modern contemporary music. This is achieved through the repetitive practices of technique, as well as developing critical listening skills demanded of beatboxers & drummers alike. The lessons will meet the student at their skill level and assess ways in which they can grow as a beatboxer. The lessons will develop from an understanding that beat boxing is rooted in the drum kit, with beats and rhythms translated from there into the learner's beats.

👩🏼🎓 In addition to being a lifelong drummer, I have a journalism degree from Appalachian State University, and I am a certified instructor of UCLA & Remo's "Beat The Odds" a program that blends drumming and social-emotional learning for kids & adults.
