The learning party will begin with a 5-10 minute meet/greet (introduction to help students feel more comfortable through song or questions.) We will dive into alphabet identification/alphabet sound out of sequence. The main objective will then be executed which is to improve the ability to identify the lowercase b and d visually. Students will also do practice exercises to strengthen the identification of b and d not only through sound but through objects that are associated. The class will be fun and engaging. Phonics and writing skills will be sharpened as well.

A three-page handout will be provided to help reinforce lowercase b and d identification visually and with sound. A small dry erase board, dry erase marker and a misfit sock to serve as eraser will be needed as well.

I come to you with a Masters of Arts in Teaching specializing in Early Childhood Education from Walden University and an ESL certification (TESOL). I am a licensed teacher who has been in the teaching arena for 14 years and I can honestly say that I still truly love what I do with every fiber within me. My teaching experience includes pre-k (80-85% ESL students every class), kindergarten and 1st grade. Also, my high schoolers and elementary child have expanded my teaching abilities as well. Children are our precious gifts and I am passionate about participating in the process of helping to mold them into their best selves.
