Join this weekly group where students can take on the challenge to defeat their opponents using a variety of tools and skills. Team up and communicate to win the game! This weekly club is for Minecrafters who love competitive player vs player game modes, quick building and fast thinking. Throughout the meetups, students will have the opportunity to decide what game type to play, whether to team up or go solo, as well as choose from a variety of maps to play!

Please try and read the whole listing to ensure the best Minecraft experience!

Please Note:
This course is for Minecraft Java Edition for PC or Mac only. This is not compatible with Game Consoles, iPads or any other devices. Classes for Consoles can be found below.

Student Experience:
This class is for learners who want to be in a safe space where they'll have multiple opportunities to talk about their Minecraft knowledge, collaborate with other students, and discuss self-interests. Minecraft is an open virtual playground which is excellent for cultivating friendships.

What to Expect:
• A fun and safe environment
• Use of strategic thinking to move around the maps
• Use of forward thinking to collect resources and tools
• Engaging with other students
• Battle in teams or solo
• Sharing tips and tricks
• Teamwork
• Use of Breakout Rooms (optional)

This group offers a safe space for learners to practise problem-solving, leadership, strategy, communication and teamwork skills.

The server has four different game types:
• Bedwars
• Villager Defence - An option when spectating or waiting for a new game to begin.

𝗕𝗲𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝘀:
The Aim of The Game: Each map has multiple floating islands which either have resources to collect from or beds. A bed represents a player spawner, and if your bed is destroyed, you can no longer respawn. Use collected resources to buy blocks, armour and tools from the shop. Place blocks around your bed to prevent it from being destroyed and try to destroy other teams' beds. Once all players have been eliminated your team will win! Collect reward points for competing and customise your character.

𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:
A cooperative, player vs entity game type where players must defend villagers from mobs and monsters! Team with other players or go solo to protect as many villagers as possible! This mini-game is great for those who enjoy battling mobs with other players.

Example Schedule:

Week 4:

This is a Custom Server
This is my own, private and secure Minecraft server. This server has been customised to prioritise learner fun and safety. My role is to keep a safe environment for all students, as well as assist students in game. I regularly change & improve the server.

From my background in coding and technology and the nature of Minecraft, I have added additional tools and features to my server. All features are managed by myself and are used to improve my abilities to control the virtual environment. Features like, chat monitoring, points systems, and more!

All rules must be followed at all times. Please see the classroom and server rules on the classroom page. I will always enforce the rules to promote a safe environment. If multiple rules are broken, the learner will be removed and unsubscribed.

Server Communication:
Whilst this is a private server, it is shared by other verified students from other classes. As this is a multiplayer server, students will be able to communicate via text messaging in the game. The server chat is regularly monitored and I, the teacher, am directly notified of any wrongdoings.

If you would prefer your learner not to be able to chat to other players, or see the chat dialog, please message me and I will assist with this request.

Breakout Rooms:
Students are welcome to join a ‘Breakout Room' if they want to have a more private area with other learners. Breakout rooms are private zoom rooms that can be added to a class. Both students must agree to open their own breakout room. I will always ask students for their permission before opening a breakout room. I will regularly switch to the breakout room to ensure students are working well together. Students are able to freely move between their private room and the main classroom, as well as ask for help. Breakout rooms are particularly useful for learners who want to work on specific projects. They are also a great way to build friendships.

Safety:
This lesson offers a safe space for learners to practise problem-solving, leadership, strategy, communication and teamwork skills. Instructions on how to join the server will be given upon enrolment.

Every student must have a working webcam to participate in the class. At the start of every class, I will need to see the learners face for safety purposes.

Students are unable to join the server/realm outside of class as learners are not to be left unsupervised in a server at any time.

A basic understanding of Minecraft is required for joining the server and playing alongside students.

Please do not share any personal information. This includes Discord & Zoom information. If your learner wishes to connect with another student, please contact me or use the classroom page to directly message another parent. Communication and arrangements need to stay on Outschool for learner privacy and safety.

I will regularly speak to all learners and offer help throughout the class. I always ensure I speak to every student and try to organise activities that we can do collectively. Some students work with their friend groups or alone.

Hardware/Software:
This course is for Minecraft Java Edition for PC or Mac only. This is not compatible with Game Consoles, iPads or any other devices.

Below is the class for consoles (iPad, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4):

Please ensure that you have the latest Minecraft version installed and join the correct Minecraft lesson type. In order to play online, you will need to have purchased Minecraft and will need to be signed into the same Microsoft/Mojang account you purchased the game with. I recommend the learner has their own device for playing. If you have any troubles or questions with regard to setting up Minecraft, please message me before class time. I am more than happy to help! I cannot give refunds if you are unable to join due to a lack of preparation. Thank you for understanding.

If your computer cannot handle Zoom and Minecraft at the same time, I recommend using two devices, one for each application. For example: using a mobile phone for Zoom and a PC for Minecraft.

Please make sure to check Zoom and Minecraft for updates before class.

Refunds
Refunds can be requested if your learner cannot attend the class by contacting me directly. Refunds will only be applied if you contact me with 24 hours notice. If your learner is going away on vacation or cannot make the class for a week or two, please contact me and I will be happy to refund you instead of having to unsubscribe and then re-subscribe.

Support
If you ever have any requests or concerns, please directly message me.

Sometimes class starts early or finishes later just because we have such a great time.

I look forward to our first battle!

Orientación para padres
Minecraft contains very little violence, graphic or inappropriate content. There is no blood in the game, however players can hit/kill enemies or animals to survive. The graphics are very cartoon like and minimalistic. Students will be playing on an online private server hosted and moderated by the teacher. Students who choose to disrupt the classroom or other learners will be removed from the server. Actions that are not acceptable includes but are not limited to: - Being unkind, abusive or disrupting - Bad language or cursing - Hacking In order to join the server, the teacher will require the student's gamer tag(s). The server is protected/gated and therefore access must be granted to join the worlds. If you would like to send me a student's gamer tag prior to class, please only do so via private messaging and not in the classroom page.
