Bastien New Traditions All in One Piano Course - Ages 5 to 7
This class is designed for beginning students who are ages 5 to 7.  This book features lessons, theory, technic and performance pieces in this book.  The book uses alphanotes which is a pre-reading approach.  

Week 1 - Beginning to p. 20 - Sitting at the piano; finger numbers; clapping rhythms, songs, listening exercises
Week 2 - Review old pieces; p. 21 - 30 - white keys:  A B C D E F G; pieces;  white keys - CDE
Week 3 - Review old pieces:  p. 31 - 40 - White keys:  F G A B, down stems up stems, listening exercises, clapping exercises, pieces
Week 4 - Review old pieces:  p. 41 - 50 - steps, Middle C position; 4/ 4 time signature, skips, pieces, listening exercises
Week 5 - Review old pieces:  p. 51 - 60 - half note, ¾ time signature, C position, pieces, listening exercises and rhythm exercises
Week 6 - Review old pieces - p. 61 - end; damper pedal, pieces, review
Students will interact with me in a casual, encouraging manner.  They will not be learning notes on the staff until the B section of this series.
