Alot can happen in 50 years! The 1900s are famous because this is when Queen Victoria died (1902) and we usher in the Edwardian period. We have the First World War, and during this time many things develop in London. Famous London landmarks like The Ritz Hotel and The Mall are built. London hosts the Olympics, television and air travel are perfected! Transportation evolves with double decker buses and the underground. Women get the right to vote and a new King & Queen are on the thrown when the King gives it up to marry an American lady! There's so much to learn -- let's get started! Perfect for students without any background knowledge, geared to make history fun and interesting! Making the topic age-appropriate, the students will learn lots of facts, and are encouraged to take notes or make drawings to reinforce learning. At the end, a pop quiz will help students recall the facts they have learned in the class. The instructor will teach using discussion, slides, images and an interactive map. Students are encouraged to ask questions along the way.
