In this ongoing math class students will learn all about basic fractions. This class will cover fraction concepts for beginners such as basic fractions, equivalent fractions, fractions of a set, fractions of a whole, comparing fractions, fractions on a number line, adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator and more. This class will be taught in a warm and friendly discussion setting in which the students will have opportunity to interact, discuss, practice and solve math problems together as a class. Students do not need to know fractions to take this class but should know their addition and subtraction to second grade level. Week starting May 30th ~ Fractions of a Whole Week starting June 6th ~ Fractions of a Set Week starting June 13th ~ Comparing Fractions Week starting June 20th ~ Fractions on a Number Line

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
In fact I believe in learning so much that I am always involved continuing education myself, whether it be in foreign language, improving my teaching techniques and even weekly public speaking classes.
I believe I have a LOT to bring to the classroom and I’m EXCITED to begin on this journey in learning with you! I hope to see YOU in my classroom soon!
