The class will begin with a quick review of base 10 number sense concepts. What is one more? What is one less? What is ten more? What is ten less? A number chart will be used to help visual learners. The students will then learn how to play the game and begin playing. The teacher will be there to help with any questions, discuss strategies and challenge the students that may benefit. If time allows, students will share strategies, and what they could do next time to improve. They will have the game with instructions to play anytime they like in the future!

I currently hold a Level 2 Professional Teaching License for the state of Utah. I teach a variety of classes that are appropriate for elementary through middle school students. My favorite classes to teach are related to math and science. I have two years of outdoor/environmental education in the field and have taught in the classroom for over 17 years. I have taught many age groups, ranging from 2nd grade all the way to 9th grade (7 years as an elementary teacher, teaching all subjects as well as 8 years teaching middle school math and science). My goal as an educator is to create engaging, hands-on lessons that are full of discovery and discussion. Content is important, but the ability to problem solve and think for ourselves is also an important component of my lessons. I have lived and taught in four different countries: the U.S., Ecuador, Venezuela and Mexico. I obviously love to travel and feel the best way to learn is through new experiences. I also enjoy playing the guitar, surfing, snowboarding, backpacking in the wilderness and spending time with close friends.Reseñas
