This Ballet class is aimed at children who have already had several years of experience in Ballet and wish to continue learning more Ballet and to improve their technique. This class may be repeated. Approximate Standard:- Grade 2 - 4 NCDTA/IDTA/RAD level. If you are unsure if the class is suitable for your learner please send me a message to ask for advice. Class Breakdown:- Introduction Warm Up Barre Exercises - Selection (Intermediate Standard) Centre Exercises - Selection (Intermediate Standard) Teacher selection of:- Short Ballet Dance/Variation/National/Mime Review of Ballet Theory Covered in Class. Cool Down/Reverence Teaching Style:- I have a positive approach to teaching. I like to praise and encourage. This course will be active with me explaining and demonstrating as well as keeping an eye on all students in the class to see if they require help or are struggling. When I'm speaking or have music playing I may keep the students muted so they are able to hear me/the music clearly but I will be checking on them in between exercises for questions. I may also ask them to show me some of the steps/exercises so that I can see how much information they are retaining and how they are managing with the technique of the steps. The pace of the class will reflect the students in the class.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will continue to learn and practice ballet technique exercises, ballet theory (French) and either a short dance/variation/national/mime. This class should give the student confidence and enjoyment as well as improving their technique! It will also be good exercise with a warm-up/stretches/ballet technique/variation/cool down.

Parental Guidance:-
Please ensure children have enough space to move around and remove anything they may bump into or knock down (e.g. your expensive vase!)
Class Attire:- Please wear appropriate free-moving clothes e.g. tee-shirt with leggings, leotard and wear either ballet shoes or bare-feet (not socks) so they do not slip during the class.
Fitness:- Your child should be in a fit and healthy state. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns.
Barre Work: I will cover some traditional ballet barre work during this class. Your child does not need a barre for this. They can use an 'imaginary' barre or a chair.

I have taught all ages of ballet from young to adult; also training other teachers. I am currently the Children's Program Director of a Dance Studio in the USA.
