🩸 Learn all about the Planets (Space) in our solar system-its position, size, distance, if life can exist, temperature, atmosphere, gravity, time for rotation and orbit around the sun, what it is made of, its satellites and explorations by NASA. An optional Kahoot Quiz for HW. Students will learn that the solar system is our home in the galaxy. It started out around four and a half billion years ago. Back then, our solar system was just a cloud of gas and dust, probably left over from the explosion of a star. • This Ongoing class discusses all about the basic facts about different planets in our solar system. This is an Ongoing Class and a student may join and drop-in any week of the class. There are 12 classes in the series and the topics run again. • I have several sections of this class in a week. If there is a schedule conflict anytime in a week, then please let me know and I will be happy to make the transfer to another section of this class for a different day and/or time. • Since I share videos in class that require permission and subscription, I am able to play them in class but do not have permission to share them online. I do not share the class recording but always willing to make a transfer to another section of the week.Thanks.:) 🩸First 2 minutes will be an introduction of the teacher and students and a discussion on the topic for the day. Next 40 minutes will be teacher sharing a Google Slide presentation, reinforcing the concepts learned in the class with examples and watching short video clips on the topic for the class. These video clips will be from credible educational sources with graphics and animations. Students are welcome to discuss and ask questions to make the class interactive. Students may note down some points as we are watching and discussing it. They may use graphics/flowcharts/concept maps for these concepts as well. Last 3 minutes student will share his/her learning with the class and may ask relevant and essential questions. Student may also share a graphic/poster/drawing of the planet discussed in class and can add their own flair of creativity. 🩸🩸 Class Schedule:- Jan 22 to Jan 28- Earth Jan 29 to Feb 4- Moon Feb 5 to Feb 11- Mars Feb 12 to Feb 18- Asteroids and Dwarf planet Ceres Feb 19 to Feb 25- Jupiter Feb 26 to March 3- Saturn March 4 to March 10- Uranus March 11 to March 17-Neptune March 18 to March 24- Dwarf planet Pluto March 25 to March 31- Sun April 1 to April 7- Mercury April 8 to April 14-Venus April 15 to April 21- Earth April 22 to April 28-Moon April 29 to May 5- Mars May 6 to May 12- Asteroids and Dwarf planet Ceres May 13 to May 19- Jupiter May 20 to May 26- Saturn May 27 to June 2- Uranus June 3 to June 9- Neptune June 10 to June 16- Dwarf planet Pluto June 17 to June 23- Sun June 24 to June 30- Mercury July 1 to July 7- Venus July 8 to July 14- Earth July 15 to July 21- Moon July 22 to July 28- Mars July 29 to Aug 4- Asteroids and Dwarf planet Ceres Aug 5 to Aug 11- Jupiter Aug 12 to Aug 18- NO Class August 19 to August 25- Saturn August 26 to Sept 1- Uranus Sept 2 to Sept 8- Neptune Sept 9 to Sept 15- Dwarf planet Pluto Sept 16 to Sept 22- Sun Sept 23 to Sept 29- Mercury Oct 7 to Oct 13- Venus Oct 14 to Oct 20- Earth Oct 21 to Oct 27- Moon Oct 28 to Nov 3- Mars Guiding Questions: 1.
