This six week online course will serve as a review for any students who have either already taken ASL 1 with me in the past, or students who have taken any basic ASL courses and wish to eventually enter into the full semester course of Intermediate ASL (ASL 2). Over the six weeks, students will be asked to demonstrate fingerspelling, sign numbers and produce basic vocabulary signs taught in Beginner's Sign Language (ASL 1). This is also a great time for students to ask any and all questions they might have about certain signs or to clarify signs they may have learned in the past and are having trouble remembering how to sign. Here is an example of the layout of this six week review course: Week One: Review of the ASL manual alphabet and fingerspelling; students will be asked to fingerspell random words. Week Two: Review of signing numbers 0 - 1,000,000; students will be asked to produce random numbers. Week Three: Review of Basic Vocabulary Signs as well as both Personal and Possessive Pronouns. Week Four: Review of Question Signs (WH-Signs): Who, What, Where, When, Why, Which and How (including "how many", "what kind", "how much", etc.). Week Five: Review of Family and Animal Sign Vocabulary; students will be asked to produce random family and animal signs. Week Six: Review of Time and Weather Sign Vocabulary: students will be asked to produce random time and weather signs.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I grew up with a Deaf family member. I learned the basics of American Sign Language at a very young age and found it incredibly helpful as I moved through childhood and into adulthood. I could communicate with other children who were clearly frustrated that no one either could or was willing to take the time and make the effort to interact with them. As an adult, I studied American Sign Language in college so that I could better communicate with the many deaf and hearing impaired members of my community.
