Informal Assessment of Art pieces.Experiencia de clase
In this self paced class, you are in charge of your lessons. You get to choose 4 projects from my list of choices. There are 50 pre-recorded lessons to choose from including drawing, sketching, watercolor and acrylic painting projects. You can mix and match or stick with one topic or medium. The benefit of a class like this is that you take class alone with the teacher. All of your work, questions, and comments are completely confidential. Direct communication with the teacher about what you really want to learn, what could be better? Each video tutorial will be posted for you in the order that you choose. You can ask questions, share progress photos, or ask for help with anything you need. You can submit your work to me for praise, uplifting comments and support. In each project we will be learning to draw the subject, background (if applicable) and the drawing techniques or watercolor/acrylic techniques to complete the project. We will break down the subject into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Drawing techniques taught may include but are not limited to stippling, hatching, cross hatching, shading and contrast. Watercolor painting techniques will covered may include but are not limited to wet on dry, wet on wet, lifting color for mistakes, variegated washes and crayon resist as needed for the project. Acrylic painting projects may include but are not limited to techniques such as blending, layering, dry brushing, and texturizing paintings. It is important to note that the instruction on techniques will be incorporated into the particular project. (Not a separate lesson). Lessons will be in a guided format with visual and audio recorded step-by-step instructions. Creativity and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. The learners will be encouraged to add their creative personal touches to their work. Learners will be encouraged to share their project by uploading their finished work to the classroom to share with me. Of course this type of participation is highly encouraged but optional if a learner does not feel comfortable doing so. Orientación para padres
*I will be embedding Youtube videos throughout the course (all my own videos created specifically for this class.) Outschool embeds the link on its platform so that learners remain on the Outschool platform and don’t access the YouTube website.
*Acrylic paint does not come off of clothing so you may want to provide a smock or oversize t-shirt if your learner chooses an acrylic painting project.
