Experiencia de clase

In this ongoing class, learners will be introduced to a different artist each week. To start class, we will learn and have a discussion about the artist and their work. This will be done largely though a slide show while asking students about what they see. During this portion of class, each learner is given an opportunity to talk. There are a total of 33 different artists planned for this course.

Next, we will make artwork of our own inspired by that week's artist. Some weeks, the students will be led in a directed drawing and asked to add creativity to their work wherever they see fit. Once and a while, students will finish a coloring page or will be provided with a drawing prompt based off of that week's artist. In the last 5 minutes of class, students will individually share their work with the class. Some students will need time outside of class to finish their artwork.

Perfil
Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I fell in love with art history with in college, and want to share my passion and knowledge with my students. I strive to do this by fostering meaningful conversations about the artwork, creating unique projects, and presenting them in developmentally appropriate and engaging ways.
