1 hora por semana. Not required, but students are welcome and encouraged to work on assignments and practice further between class sessions.

Informal assessments will take place during class in the form of teacher observation and possible suggestions (as requested by students).

Certificates of Completion will be offered upon parent completion of feedbac. Letter or Number grades will be offered per parent request.

Nivel Beginner - Intermediate

Through the guided drawing process, students will learn how to use simple lines and shapes to create different scenes in one point perspective. 

My teaching style involves breaking the process down into smaller, easy-to-follow steps. I pace the class according to the needs of the students; if needed, I give fast finishers a break, allowing students who need more time to complete their work, the time to do so, and even then, finishing before class ends is NOT the objective. The examples in the picture are only suggestive; students may also request a particular favorite if time allows.

My classes are intended to be fun, informative, and a safe place to take artistic risks and make mistakes--that is experimentation, which artists do all the time!

At the end of class, students will be invited to share their creations no matter what their progress is.

Lección 1:

Introduction to/Review of One Point Perspective

 We will draw and color 6 simple 3-d boxes that extend to the vanishing point.

Shapes in Perspective

 We will draw a variety of shapes and apply what was learned yesterday to make them look like they are vanishing into the distance.

"Worm's Eye View"

 We will draw a "worm's eye view" of buildings, looking up from the ground.

Lección 4:

City Block, Part 1

 We will begin to draw a city block from street view.
