There will be NO LIVE MEETINGS. This is a flex course that is meant to be completed at the worker's own pace within 15 weeks. In this semester-long, 15-week, flex art course, we will working on an array of art mediums and techniques. This course will fulfill the art elective needed, and by the end of the 15 weeks, students will leave with a course completed certificate. During our time together, students will be more confident in creating, as well as informed of different techniques, definitions, theories, and artists. I will use a second camera pointed towards the example project to explain what and how we are proceeding for the day. I will also talk to them about the weekly artist (historical and/or contemporary) that coincides with the technique and/or medium we are using. I will also discuss the different theories that specific artist uses. This will help to create a more well-rounded experience and curriculum for each student. With their submission of work, students will tell me what their impressions of the work and artist were: what worked, what didn't, etc. I also encourage students to reach out throughout the week with any questions they may have about the work.

Hi there! My name is Tessa DeForge. I live in the beautiful state of Vermont with my husband, 2 silly dogs and 2 precocious cats. I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2011 and hold a bachelor's in Art Education.
I am very passionate about education. I have taught in a traditional setting for 10 years as a 6-12 art teacher and as an early educator. I love to teach a multitude of things through art and play. Some of the classes I offer are: Art Social Group, Crochet Club, 1;1 Knitting and Crochet classes, as well as social groups, to name a few. I am always looking to expand on my class list. The skies the limit when it comes to art and I hope to have some more exciting classes up and running in the very near future.
