Área y perímetro de la casa de sus sueños

In this one time class, students will be introduced to area and perimeter.  We will start by using Cheez-Its to examine the area and perimeter of certain objects.  Once students have a solid understanding of the difference between area and perimeter by completing a few examples, students will be asked to design their own dream home and calculate the area and perimeter of each room in their house.  Students will have the opportunity to chat with each other while they are designing their homes and bounce ideas off of each other.  They can share their designs at the end of the class.  It is important for students to have their own graph paper and drawing utensils.
