We continue our Arabic journey, building on what you have learned so far. This course will focus on improving your speaking and listening skills, while providing you with many opportunities to practice your reading and writing. Arabic for Beginners 3 is the third course in the Arabic for Beginners series. Please note that Arabic for Beginners 1 & 2, or previous experience studying Arabic, are necessary before taking this class. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about placement. Week 1 - Expanding conversation in Arabic. Reading and writing practice. - Review of the possessive & writing practice Week 2 - Introduction of verbless sentences - Negating verbless sentences Week 3 - Expressing likes, dislikes, and tastes - Using verbs in the present tense & writing practice Week 4 - Introduction to comparative adjectives. - General review of course content.

-For everyone's safety, and to ensure an engaging experience while learning Arabic, students are expected to have working microphones and video for the entirety of this class. They should be positioned such that we can both hear and see them.
-Students are asked not to use virtual backgrounds.

After obtaining my B.A., I was determined to work with languages. In 2003, I joined an acclaimed center in Rabat, Morocco where I was trained to teach Arabic. I taught Modern Standard Arabic and Darija (Moroccan Arabic) to students from different parts of the world.
After moving to California, I continued working as a teacher; I taught Arabic, French, and English as a second language for various institutions, including Berlitz, ABC Languages, and Fresno State University. In 2010, I received my Master's in Linguistics from San Francisco State University.
