In our Portal Gaming Club, learners will dive into the immersive world of Portal, an award-winning video game series renowned for its mind-bending puzzles and captivating storyline. This club offers a unique opportunity for students to not only have fun but also enhance their cognitive abilities and develop valuable skills.

Throughout the club, participants will engage in cooperative gameplay, problem-solving challenges, and interactive discussions centered around Portal 1 and 2. By navigating through intricate levels and manipulating the laws of physics using the iconic portal gun, learners will sharpen their critical thinking, spatial reasoning, and strategic planning skills.

But it's not all about the gameplay. As we progress through test chambers, we'll explore the underlying scientific concepts and principles, such as physics, geometry, and logic, that are seamlessly integrated into the game's mechanics. This ongoing class will be learner-directed, each week will not have a set topic or theme. 

Please note that in order to participate in gameplay, learners will need their own copies of Portal 1 and/or 2. Both games are available on various gaming platforms such as PC, Xbox, or PlayStation. As the game's primary story is offline and single-player, a multiplayer subscription is not required. Portal 2 does feature multiplayer and learners may play together with access to an online subscription. Learners will share their gaming handles with the instructor to ensure learner safety. Learners should have their gaming devices ready with the game installed before joining the class.
