Experiencia de clase

I have written AP Macro and Economics for the University of California Online High School. I am also an examiner for the IB, and I write practice test questions for the Texas Starr Test. I have worked for top schools throughout the world, both online and in person.

This course will cover the following units of study, as outlined by the College Board:
Unit 1: Basic Economic Concepts
Unit 2: Economic Indicators and the Business Cycle
Unit 3: National Income and Price Determination
Unit 4: Financial Sector
Unit 5: Long-run Consequences of Stabilization Policies
Unit 6: Open Economy - International Trade and Finance

We will also work on test taking skills specific to the AP Macroeconomics Exam.

This class will be taught with lecture, presentations, discussions and activities. Students will be taking notes, so please be prepared at the start of class to dig right in. Paper and pen/pencil will be best for drawing the diagrams and completing other class exercises.

Optional homework will be assigned, with feedback given. Quizzes and tests will be helpful for students to understand their progress. A Practice exam will also be available at the end of the course.

I always encourage discussions, so we will discuss topics with real world examples.

There are no prerequisites for this class, but basic math and graphing is required. Students should be able to read a college level text. Content will be provided by the teacher and we will be using the OpenStax free textbook listed in the sources.
